Can use 34-39 from 6 cyl. Hudson or Terraplane
48-51 are a stronger and more readily available, 41-47 hard to find, esp complete with all electronics and controls.
could be modern lining material was used. Requires "softer" linings designed for mechanical brakes with steel drums.
Any Hudson, 1941-1947 is the same. Somebody must have one somewhere.
1940 will fit, 1941-47 are identical. Still hard to find in nice shape. Good luck
Sounds like a bad ground. Check all ground connections. Especially starter to rear plate/bell housing. Often too much paint in these locations.
Based on your "sound effects", check your center dtive shaft supports. These , if broken will produce the effect you described.
