Frank - Yes I plan on getting a new solenoid Pat - my '53 has a separate solenoid as Walt says it is on the left inner fender. thanks all J

Walt: You were right!! I went out & banged on the solenoid & that solved the problem. Thanks a bunch! regards J Lombard

Richard: Don't forget when you remove the 2 Philips screws & flip it you need to flip the glass on the front also. J
