Hi all, from Norway I have just recently got my hands on a 1936 Hudson Eight Custom Convertible. An now I have started to look for two Things the Banjo steering Wheel and the fenderskirts for this car. Any links and tips will be appreciated.

Raymond,
Original fender skirts for a 1936 Hudson are very hard to come by. You might try contacting Perry Spring (known as 'Bent Metal' - He's in the HET Club roster, and you can find his contact info here on the HET Website), he's been making them - not sure if he has made any for a '36...

Try contacting Paul Schuster (out of PA - also a current club member who is in the roster and info is on the HET Website) for the steering wheel - he might be able to either locate one for you, or give you a good lead...

Good Luck!

A company called Agape Auto claims to have the patterns to make most any car's skirts, from about 1935 and up. I have heard no reviews as to the quality of their workmanship or the "fit". You can google them to see if there are any opinions, pro or con. I believe this is the correct link: http://www.skirtsandvisors.com/

Raymond, is this the car that was in a museum for many years? When I had my '36 convertible I was told about one in a museum in either Norway or Sweden.

Yes this is the one, the car was brought to Norway from Uruguay in 1981 and was restored here. It came on the road here in 85, but I am not sure how long it was at the museum. Lovely car! Yours looks very Nice too, I Wonder where to get those emblems on the fenderskirts if even possible to find.
Regards Raymond

Raymond, those emblems are even harder to find than are the fender skirts. It's interesting how the fender skirts make the car seem rather sporty, and without the skirts it looks more formal.
