I was poking around the back seat of the 36 Hudson and noticed a roller with what looks to be the remnants of a shade? As I unrolled, it's a thin black fabric material the width of the rear windows. It's too disintegrated to have a connection left, but at the top of the windows where the headliner meets the back, there's what appears to be half of a metal snap. Anybody know what this might be?
The snap holds the shade up. On my '34 Terraplane, the shade is mounted at the bottom of the window and unrolls up to a lift-a-dot. On my car, the shade is opaque so you can see car headlights behind you. I had to make my own shade out of a thin canvas
Once I took the rear seat out I saw the roller was mounted to the back top edge of the seat. It’s an nteresting piece.
