The artillery wheels that I have for my 36H all have this design painted on. I haven't seen it on any pics of restored cars and most of the factory pictures in magazine ads feature the full size wheel covers. The sales catalog only shows it on a couple of pages. Has anybody taken the time to duplicate this on a restoration? I assume it would take pin stripe tape and a lot of patience to get all the wheels the same.
Haven't seen that before, we had 2 '36 Hudsons when I was a kid, an 8 and a 6. Neither had that. I like that after seeing that, I think I am going to paint the wheels
on My '36 Custom 8 like that. I like the small hubcaps better than the big ones. I have the small hubcaps that came of the '36 Hudson 6 we had years ago.
Thanks for posting.
Here's a pic from the sales brochure showing it. I watched a couple videos showing a guy pin stripe a wheel by hand, made it look so easy! But he was only doing a stripe around the outermost groove.
It looks similar to the 34/35 Hudson design, but that was just a scalloped pinstripe in the spokes.
