Hello Hudson friends we are driving our 1930 super 8 2 years around the world.
NO JOKE!
Website is http://heidi-um-die-welt.com
Sorry mostly in German, but use Google translate or klick on English section. Or see GPS tracking !

Start was 4 weeks ago in Berlin Germany. Now we are stuck in Uzbekistan with clutch failure.
Have to replace linings.
Have Instruktion but no experiences.

1. Try failed with not dividing? ? cluth.
Probably the cork was to thick ?
Ideas?
Cheers Patrik from Urganch Usbekistan

Have you taken it apart yet? Is the problem that the corks have burned out?

Those corks are too thick I'm pretty sure. it's not going to work. What condition is the pressure plate in? Maybe take a spare next time? I'm sure you have plenty of corks from all the wine you're enjoying while you ponder how to get out of this one. Hopefully one of the clutch experts can give you some assistance soon here.

Oh, I know with all that cultural/religious stuff being what it is there! About as easy as finding a rebuilt Hudson clutch! I stayed at the Marriott in Baku next to the government house, and it was very nice!

Patrik:

I have e-mailed you some pages from the Hudson repair manual for 1930-31. Perhaps these will be of some small assistance to you.

I found these here on our Hudson-Essex-Terraplane website, under "Library / Manuals" (at the top of the page). Perhaps you have already found them here.

I am sorry I cannot assist you further. As you may know, many clutch parts are still available in the U.S. from Doug Wildrick, however it may take some time to ship them to you in Baku. Doug's website may be found at http://wildrickrestorations.com/clutch.html
