Thanks for the update Jon.
The Club needs a few more volunteers to help at the H-E-T booth at the Hershey car show and flea market in early October. The booth (space RNE 24-25) is on the Red Field (near the old stadium). It serves as a meeting place for Hudsonites visiting Hershey from around the world. Volunteers serve coffee and donuts, process Club memberships and renewals, greet fellow enthusiasts, hand out Club newsletters to prospective members, and answer questions from the public about Hudson history. Booth duty also allows volunteers with mobility limitations the chance to experience the flea market and greet friends, from a comfortable chair in the Club’s trailer.Volunteers work either the morning shift (8:00 AM to 12:30 PM) or the afternoon shift (12:30 to 5:00). The rest of the day can be spent wandering the flea market.Current time slots for which a volunteer is needed, are: Tuesday, Oct. 3, (afternoon shift)Wednesday, Oct. 4 (afternoon shift)Thursday, Oct. 5 (afternoon shift)Friday, Oct. 6 (morning shift). It is also possible to park one’s Hudson next to the booth, depending upon the availability of spaces and car passes. For further information please telephone Jon Battle at (540) 364-1770, or e-mail him at xxxdetailed@verizon.net (delete xxx before sending).
