I have an overdrive solenoid #1118132. Does anyone know what it fits? It is the same length and same pawl length as #118147. Are the interchangeable?
Thanks'
Videoman

Videoman John, The info I have indicates that 1118132 is a 12volt model while 1118147 is a 6 volt model. Also, 1118147 was superceeded by 1118164 which was indeed used on the 52-3 Hudsons on their overdrive setup. Hope this helps.

Would a 12v overdrive solenoid work on a 6v system?

No,but it's good sales material! Lots of folks converting to 12v and looking for 12v solenoids.

1118132 is a 12 volt for Studebaker. 1118147 is a 6 volt for Hudson double lever overdrive.

John, Let me know if you need a 6 volt model. I've got quite a number of them.

Do you have info.on #1118134 as I can't find it's application. This solenoid was used origionally on the 1950 Hudson with overdrive. It was superceeded by the 1118147 which was again superceeded by 1118164. Gets a little complicated Paul. 🙂 There may have been some units that went out with this part in 1951 as well. It was for a Warner R-10 overdrive.

Thanks,
JohnWhich version do you have that you are hoping to sell? I would be interested if it the right version and reasonable price. Always good to have a spare.
