Is there someone out there doing this kind of work these days? Clay Hannah passed his " business" on to someone whose name I cannot remember.

I'd like to find out, too. I know Newport Engineering has conversions but are 12V only.

I am going to send my vacuum wiper motor to Newport because the use the part the cables hook to on your new electric motor. They offer a 6 volt inverter to use their motor, but it is expensive--
$140 or so.
