Hello Alex,
I get a great deal of mileage from the material you've made available, so thank you! I have a '29 H Landau and the tech information is excellent. One of the great mysteries for me is knowing what the car's interior (probably) looked like. I have some remnants of fabric that Geoff Clark thinks could be original, but we can't be sure. References to a 1929 Hudson Sales Catalog or any similar material that mentions interior fittings, fabrics, options and so forth seem to be non-existent. Do you think such a document was produced for the '29 line?
Cheers... Peter
Hi Peter,
I think there was one of those big sales catalogs put out by the company. One of those that shows all models, interior shots, etc. But if there is such a bird flying around in somebody's collection I have a feeling I couldn't copy it anyway. It would probably be a large size book and I only have an 8½ x 12 inch scanner.
I know somebody that has one of those 1910-1919 Hudson parts books - but it's to big for me to scan. I seem to remember somebody somewhere mentioning something about a 1931 or 1932 - in that era - large sales catalog with all models and including a lot of great stuff. Again to large for me to scan.
Oh well. There's a lot of material out there in peoples collections but they are hiding it, I think. I'd like to see people make provisions for donating their collections to the H-E-T library with a stop here to scan the material. I got quite a bit from the John Soneff collection recently - I just wish more people would donate.
Hudsonly,
Alex Burr
