My restoration is rapidly moving forward, and we're identifying the last of the missing parts. Does anybody know where I might find a crank hole cover for my 1936 Terraplane. Even if someone has one I can borrow for a little while. My friend has a machine shop, and if I can get a sample, I'm sure he can duplicate it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Joel
There's a vendor who sells a bumper bolt that "fills the crank hole in 1936 Terraplane front bumpers." If this is what you want, post here to let me know and I'll recover the vendor's identification.

Thanks for asking. When I dug with it further from the gentleman who's handling the restoration, we have the part you are referring to. What I'm looking for doesn't cover the bumper, but covers the hole going through the grill. Not sure what to call that though.
Crank hole cover sounds right to me. Hope you find it soon.
I bought one from Bill Albright back 4 or 5 years ago. He had some popped and had them in stock. If someone has the number to whoever is still working at his ranch, I'll bet there are some available.

Thanks so much. Unfortunately I learned that Bill has passed away. However, his shop is still being run by Jason Fisher at albrighthudsons@msn.com
Unfortunately he doesn't have the part I'm looking for. Anybody else have any luck finding one of these?
Thanks
Here's a discussion on the '36 crank hole cover from a few years ago, on the Classiccar Hudson forum:

There's a photo of a '36 Hudson crank hole cover there, which should be similar to the Terraplane one.
Thanks so much. Good info. Looks a lot different than what I expected...now if I can just find one.
Give Tom Lynch a call at six five one 3 one 5 one three 3 seven. He has had a few made and he can give you an idea what they cost to build and might make one for you...
