RE: 35 Terraplane oil pan gaskets. I purchased a gasket set from Olson. It included an O-ring with dipper tray/oil pan gaskets. Is the oil ring used on the 35 oil pans? I don't recall there being one on the pickup tube when I removed it.

yes it should have one. Also make sure you don't use too much sealant around the rear sump feed hole in the block
