Need help to identify an Autolite Distributor IR 4001 4G. I think it must be for some early Hudson since with other Hudson parts. Does anyone know if this fits a Hudson and what model or year ? Picture attached/

It looks late 1920s but that number doesn't tie in with the Hudson and Essex distributor numbers I have.

If Interested, received reply from AAA member. The dist, number is IB 4000. The "B" is off-stamped and looks like a "R". The correct number should be IBA 4000. It replaced the American Bosch dist. mid 1926 Essex and then used on the 1927.

That is correct. The 1928 Essex used the same distributor, except it had an electrolock cable in place of the terminal on the side.
