What is a safe cruising speed for a 1952 Wasp with 262 and hydro for the motor? Does a stock 262 tend to overheat at cruising speed?
Thanks

The 262 wide block is a very good motor. It should run fine without overheating at highway speeds. I've run my 1951 in 90F+ temperatures at 70 MPH (std w/ overdrive, 4.55:1 and 4.11:1 differentials) without issues. The cooling system needs to be in good condition. A hydromatic should be able to handle something similar.
