I very recently acquired this double sided porcelain Hudson sign to hang in my garage. It is double sided and measures 42 inches wide by 24 inches high.
I assume that it was used in a dealership because of its large size. What I would like to know is the approximate year it was used.
I would appreciate any help with this.
The sign is not for sale.
Thanks

This is a stepdown era sign.  If you want to know the exact years of usage, research the monthly service/sales magazines.  Another clue can be found in the opening pages of the owners manuals.  In my 46 manual, page 3 or so shows the current Hudson sales/service sign as an instruction to new owners

I've got a sign catalog from the post merge era (55-ish) and this type/style of sign is not listed in there, so staying within the stepdown era.
Yours is in great shape with the red triangle point at the bottom looking completely undamaged.
