Just bought a Karvisor for my Commodore. Does anyone have the installation instructions or know where I could find it online. The instructions that came with it are all but illegible...thank you!

Hi

Go to my web page and select ACCESSORIES on the left side of the page... once on the page select KARVISOR and the installation instructions are there for your use.  Ken

Hi Ken, by now I hope you have received my check. Your assistance is much appreciated! I was having an old school; mechanic help me with my convertible top motor. This guy has been around old cars forever, has general knowledge about Hudsons. I was talking to him about the Karvisor. He told me that a visor can't be used on convertibles, that the drip rail doesn't extend far enough upward like it does on hardtops. I've seen several convertibles with visors. What are we missing here?

There is are many folks in the HET CLUB who have visors attached to convertibles.  I would think a contact with one or two of those folks would assure you some insight as to what they have experienced.  Installation and after installation.   Good Luck

There are two part #’s for Karvisor one has smaller mounting brackets at the ends. The other one has larger side brackets and fits all step downs including Hollywood and Convertible. If you have the earlier one with the small brackets all you need is the larger end brackets. Bent Metal on here reproduces the brackets.
Hold your visor up to your car and see if it will fit?

Hi Ed, as always your assistance is greatly appreciated! I wouldn't know which brackets are which. Can you tell from the pics? These brackets don't seem to fit. My other concern is once I tighten the set screws, I will scratch the bright work.

Tony:  I am remiss to have also told you that the visor mounts for the convertible and the hardtops are different.  Those mounts are nearly 1" longer than the "standard mounts".   Your can obtain the replacements from Perry Spring AKA Bent Metal as shown in the following information extracted from my website.  Call and ask Perry for a set of his brackets... they are perfect for the job.   Ken [b]perryscustommetal@msn.com In southern California a metal magician is plying his trade, Guy Perry II. aka BENT METAL is that metal maestro. He is the go to guy for Hot Rodders looking for top chops or the pickiest among us looking for concurs auto restoration metal work. He is a master at creating and installing the repair pieces you will find nowhere else.
