Looking for some information and pictures of rumble seat in a 1936 Terraplane. I recently acquired a 1936 Terraplane 2 door Deluxe Coupe. At some point in its history, the addition of a rumble seat was started. The trunk lid has been reversed and hinges added to convert to a rumble seat. I also have the seat springs and wooden base and wooden rear structure to attach springs to lid. I would really appreciate any comments on the questions below.
1) Was the addition of a rumble seat something that was done by a dealer, or was it done at the factory?
2) Would a Deluxe 2 Door Coupe ever be fitted with a Rumble Seat? Is this a legitimate option or addition to that trim level?
3) Does anyone have a photo of the latch/catch on the top of the rumble seat hatch?
4) Does anyone have photos/measurements for any of the interior upholstery in the rumble seat compartment? Were there panels on the sides? Was the floor carpeted, or was a rubber mat used?
5) What type of material would have been used to cover the seat cushions on the rumble seat?
Thanks for your help!
I have a 1935 Terraplane with a rumble seat. I can help but I don't know if they were similar. The car is under construction so I can send pictures. Let me know if you would like input.

Thanks for your offer. Photos would be great. Areas of interest are the catch or strike plate where the latch engages and any detail on the channel to catch water on the back half of the opening closest to the rear of the vehicle. My car has no channel to collect water or any drains to help it exit the vehicle. It looks like it was removed when rumble seat conversion was done.
I did find a place to remake the seat springs for the rumble seat - Snyders in Youngstown, OH. They are primarily a Model A Parts seller, but they do custom work on seat springs as well.
