The starter is an autolite MAB-4075.  Unfortunately, the solenoid gets stuck in the 'start' position and spins the starter until I disconnect the battery.  I disconnected the push switch on the dash, thinking the switch was the problem, but when I subbed in a modern momentary contact switch, (made for remote starting) I get the same result.

Thanks for any assistance!
John

I have one I can sell if you still need. $25 + shipping.
Before you replace however, I would attempt to rotate the button to move a 'fresh' section of the copper contactor unto play. These are designed for this given the tendency for arching of 500+ amps of DC current.

Thanks Pat.  I'll be in contact if I need one.  I appreciate your response.
