No Ron, what you have pictured is the correct part for your car. At some point, someone has removed the phillips screw from the handle, which allowed them to remove the necessary mounting bracket shown in the picture from John's '54. '48, '49 'and some '50's had the style you have, again is the correct one for your vehicle. With that said, if you can't find the mounting base for yours, you can find the complete assembly from a '51 to '54, as it will bolt right in. Also if you look, there are I believe, 3 mounting holes in the seat base, and depending on what setting you go with on the seat mounting, depends on which holes you use.
How this happens you ask?. Well, when removing the seat from the car, most see the phillips screw, which allows you to slide the seat off and out of the car and just falls out onto the floor. If you have the O.E. seat base, look closely to verify the bracket is gone, hope this helps.
If you need one, less the spring, we have both and/or all the styles you might need!
there are so many little parts that need to be remade, and those springs are on my list in the near future, just haven't had them done yet. The spring IS actually what keeps the lever in place and retained.

Ron, I know we have these, so check to see if your bracket is there, since it's the only thing your missing.

Doug.
No signs of bracket. Please advise price of yours. Would you please check with Cole regarding the rear bumper brackets and the cost. He was going to get back to  me with a price  a while back and haven't heard from him.  Thank you.

Doug,
Don't know if you got my reply or not. I don't have the block we've been talking about. If you have one could you please leave me know the price and shipping.  Also, I have been talking to Cole about a rear bumper bracket I'm missing. He was going to check and tell me the price and shipping. My zip code is17740. Thanks.

Good evening Ron. I found the correct handle assembly you need, with a shiny chrome handle. I left it on Coles counter. I think he or Tom found the body bumper bracket as well.  Give him a call in the AM, thanks Doug
