I took my 54 Hudson for a nice long drive today and find that I need (4) new shocks. The mechanic who will be working on my car wants me to purchase all the parts for him before he starts. My searches on NAPA, O'Reilly and Kanter have left me scratching my head as I find only rear shocks. I would appreciate any help pointing me to a good source for all (4) shocks.  Thanks

I put Monroe air pump-up shocks on the rear of my '53, # MA727. You can call Monroe about the fit @ # 734-384-7809. Was $70. per pair at Advance when I bought. They assist in rear sag, etc. If you connect individually, you can compensate for one weak spring. Anyway, I like them.

There are front shocks in the following part list that will fit 1948-1954 Stepdowns:

Howard, we stock these. they come with new lower mounting plates, which always have some type of bad issue, broken, bent and/or rusty.   www.wrphet.com
