:)I just bought a 1934 export model Terraplane that was converted to 12 volts by the previous owner, along with some rewiring. The generator on the car gave some trouble, which I had repaired.
Then the repaired gneerator and its voltage regulator were stolen along with my daily driver. RIP 1981 VW and contents.
Someone has suggested that an alternator would be better and more nearly trouble-free compared to a generator.
Is there someone out there who has made this kind of conversion and would talk about it?
