Hello Everyone,
I am looking for an fuel inlet strainer screen for a Carter W1 311S for my 35 Terraplane.
I've checked with several carb shops but no luck for the size I need.
I have one out of another 311S that measures 0.3125 OD x 0.4075 LG X 0.012 thick.
See attached pics.
If anyone has a strainer this size OR a carb of 35-37 vintage with this size strainer I'd be interested in purchasing it.

Suggest you try an ACE Hardware store. I tried all the auto stores, tractor and Home Depot for a carburetor spring and internal fuel strainer, None had them but tried the local hardware store and found both. The fuel strainer was made from stainless mesh instead of brass and was already shaped exactly like the '25 Essex I needed.
Ken, I found that one but the diameter isn't the same as the one I have.
Bill, thanks for the tip. There's a nice ACE a few blocks from my daughters house, I'll have to check.
Heres pics of the check valve, screen & plug cap. The screen fits snug on the shoulder of the valve & snug in the bore of the plug cap. Kinda like it grew there.
