Can someone tell me how to install the rear door window in my 1936 Terraplane. If there is any written procedure info I can copy it would be very helpful.
Thanks

Ken, If you go to the club library and look up the exploded view of the door mechanism, sometimes can give you some good pointers??

I have all of the mechanism, but I cannot fit the window inside the door. Do I have to remove the run channel?
Ken
Basically you set the window into place, attached it to the regulator, rolled all the way down, now slide the channel into place down the sides. You should check the width of the opening and verify your glass fits. I f you have had the glass made fresh, sometimes if it is slightly larger, it can be just enough that doesn't let the glass slide into the groove. If you have any questions with the size, you can take it to the glass shop and have them sand it down slightly. We occasionally have to do this. Once the weatherstrip is in the proper place/location, we use weatherstrip adhesive to secure it at the top. When doing this, be ready to leave the window rolled up overnight. Hope this helps.
"Do I have to remove the run channel?" Not really, BUT you need to MAKE sure the track on either side is clean and free on any and all old material.
