Does anyone know what the part number from NAPA is for brake cylinders for '40 Hudson Coupe? On one of the backs there is a stamped number 840. Are all 4 the same number?
1936 -1947 Hudson & Terraplane. Front & Rear Napa 9336 (right) & 9337 (left).
You can also get them on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/36-37-38-39-40-HUDSON-FRONT-or-REAR-WHEEL-CYLINDERS-PAIR-/233156585020?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286.

The 9336 &9337 numbers are now obsolete. The current numbers 4803 (left) and 4804(right) are correct. They tend to be pricier than 7563 and 7564, which are the same bore and fit as the 4903 & 4804, BUT have a 7/16-24 inlet with it's built in inverted flare. Thus, in order to use the correct front brake hoses with the 7/16-20 threads, you must use the 4803 & 4804 wheel cylinders. You can use the lower priced 7563 & 7564 on the rear IF you make new slightly longer brake lines that go on the rear axle, with 7/16-24 flare nuts at the wheel cylinder ends. I do have the left front 4803 Raybestos, and the 7563 & 7564 rears on hand. I can get a 4804 in a few days. Would you be interested in this set?
