Walt Mordenti, known by many for his technical knowledge of Hudsons, will turn 100 years old in July of 2021. He's currently enjoying life in his San Francisco home, and would love to hear from his many friends
.
If you want to send Walt a card or photo his mailing address is 45 Skyview Way, San Francisco, CA 94131, or e-mail him at jmordenti@me.com .
Here he is, helping prepare his son-in-law's 1953 Sunbeam Alpine for the 2019 Great Race (where it won the Best of Show Classic Car award):

Greetings Walt; Remember this 34 Terraplane coupe? It looks a little different than when you worked on it in your San Mateo shop. I think you changed it over to 12 volt, put on the first turn signals, and other restoration work. You would have seen it last at the 2013 National Meet, parked next to a 35 Hudson convertible. Best wishes for you 1/2 birthday and upcoming birthday. Dennis Holck
I'm not sure what went on with attachments to my previous email; here are other pictures of Walt at 2013 National, etc.
Jon, I sent an email to Joyce wishing Walt all the best and photos of my '42 Hudson and a 1934 Terraplane like to one my Uncle George had when I was 8.
I have been on the web trying to help locate Walt's Midget # 78 race car (those midget race cars of the 40s and 50s were the best). I found these 2 photos of the # 78 and emailed them to Joyce. I will keep looking for more info and pass what ever I find on to her.
Warren
Walt's contact information is in the Roster.
Send Walt a card, he would love to hear from you!
