Greetings Technical Masters! The subject wiper switch has a knob that turns a rear connected cable to the wiper motor. It turns the motor on/off. Simple enough. However the back of the switch also has what appear to be (2) vacuum ports (approx 1/8" diameter metal tubes). What are the functions of the these two vacuum ports? I notice there's also a small "sub- button" on the center of the turn knob ---what's its purpose?
The button and vacuum ports are for an accessory vacuum windshield washer.
It would be a unit similar to this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1950-1951-1952-1953-Chevrolet-Car-GM-Accessory-Windshield-Washer-Kit-986650/274468305366?hash=item3fe795f9d6:g:b~IAAOSwofVfQUDC
Christopher ---Thank you for the feedback which is what I suspected. However I've never seen a Hudson with a "Washer Fluid" system. Maybe it was an option? If so it must have been a rare factory option. Maybe dealerships installed them?
On the 51’s the washer bottle mounts on the right hand inner fender, there are two dimples where to drill the mounting holes. On the 46-47 the washer bottle mount don the left side firewall. I’ll try and post photos.

Thanks for the pics! Goes to show you still can learn something new. Funny enough many moons ago I found one of these large "peanut butter" jars tossed in a Hudson trunk but didn't realize what I was looking at and threw it away. Never do that again. Thanks for the help gents.
