To clarify... are you looking for hubcaps for wire wheels, or hubcaps that simulate wire wheels?

It sounds like actual wire wheels were an option for Stepdowns. Correct? How do they mount to the drums? 5 bolts?

FYI
Wire wheels were available either painted or chrome by Hudson back then and they bolted on just like the steel wheels. Also there were Wire Hubcaps simulating wire wheels.. I have an extra set of Factory wire wheels that I had Powder Coated for another car

I imagine those are made of unobtainium these days.

If really want realistic wire hubcaps you could go to a Salvage Yard and get a set of mid '80's GM Cars Wire Caps that fastened wiotgh a venter Lug. I removed that apparatus trimmed the back side then snapped on my hornet years ago. People think their wire but just caps. [Hornet.JPG

To clarify, you are looking for a set of wire wheels painted or chrome, not wire hub caps?

I have a set of Powder Coated black chrome, but not brilliant chrome. If cant swing new, check eBay listing under wire wheels. Mopar will fit and see listed occasionally. Most Wire wheels require tubes. Need 5 lug x 4 1/2" x 15" bolt pattern
