I just had the rear deck ornament from my 1949 Hudson Super 6 recrhomed. I'm not sure exactly what paint to use for the background of the cast HUDSON letters. I think it is supposed to be black but I'm not sure if satin or gloss black is more appropriate. My thought is to just dribble the paint in the the well and let it self-level rather than try to brush it in. I am also thinking to use an enamel like Rustoleum or One-Shot lettering paint. Any experience or thoughts doing this? Thanks.
