Hi there, New to this. Just got word that my 53 Super Jet needs entire engine rebuild... the machine shop wants 3K plus the mechanics fee of another 1700. Ouch. Does this sound in line? or does anyone out there in the Hudson arena have any suggestions. I need help. Thanks for any info, Debra Mosner.

Where are you located?
Is the 1700 for pulling out and putting back in the engine or is it for just engine work on top of the 3,000.00?
