Victor,

Welcome to the HET Club! I will look at your pictures of your 39; a rather unusual year -- I have several 1941 vehicles. You will find a lot of helpful folks here should you need any help keeping your car running. What area of the country are you located in? You can contact folks in your area that are in the local chapter and they will help you as well; you can join them for some tours, etc.

Tim

Victor,

Beautiful looking car! Obviously you're not scared to get into the mechanical stuff. If you're not used to the Hudson wet clutch, be sure to ask about that. You have a wonderful looking car and I'm guessing numbers matching engine. Perfect from my view. It's a 212 cubic inch six.

Thanks Tim, on both accounts. Yes it is a 212 six. Numbers do match. I am in the mid west near ST Louis MO.

Good morning Victor and welcome to the crazy world of Hudson!!! I'm glad to see you've joined our happy bunch of wandering nuts. You and I apparently are neighbors - I'm just down Ole Missy from you in Memphis.
Having been hanging around the HET club for over 40 years I can tell y ou that this is more of a family with old cars, rather than old cars with people. And family it is. I've been a member of other clubs over the years, but am still a Hudson nut thru and thru. Tho I haven't had a Hudson for many years (kids and bills kept getting in the way) I've never felt that I wasn't welcome where-ever I went to meets, etc, over the years.
The club has a very good virtual library, should you need information and there is also the on-line library that has some 1939 material in it. The URL for that is below.
Your '39 looks like a great car to have - hope you enjoy many hours and miles in the old girl. Get her out to local meets and watch the attention she'll get. As for your serial/engine number matching up until mid-1938 serial and engine numbers were different. From '39 up they were the same. Just a little trivia.
Y'all have a good one.

You can post parts wanted in the Parts for sale/wanted section of this forum. There is also a very active Hudson forum at classiccar.com. There is currently more activity over there than here as this HET site is relatively new so there's sort of a transition going on. The Classiccar site will probably be around for a long time, but if it goes out again then this will really start picking up.
So I'd put my parts requests on both forums for now.
Go to the classiccar.com web site and click on Forums in the upper right side of the page. You will have to set up an account, but that's not difficult.
Rogers good people, by the way.
Best all.

Hudsonly,
Alex B
