When I purchased my 36T it had 6.00-16's on the front and 6.50-16's on the rear. Would it be OK to continue with this mix? One of my thoughts is that it would give me a bit better axle ratio. I could also put 6.50's on the front, but would be fearful of tire rubbing when turning. I would like to hear your feedback. Thanks!
I assume all 4 wheels are all the same?
What was the original size for 1936? If it was 600, then it may be okay to move up to the 650's for the fronts as well.. (Generally, the depth of the metal wheel should be a bit more for a 650 than a 600, but it's probably okay to use the larger tire. I have a '37 and moved to 650 (bias ply) which I believe gave me better handling. And yes, the tire rubbed in an extremely sharp turn (you would only be going very slow when turning this sharply).
Jon, thanks for weighing in....yes, the original (factory) tire size was 6.00 front and rear, and the wheels are 4" x 16".
