Gene,
Almost everything is rebuildable, given enough time/$. Finding NOS is a long shot but not impossible. Assuming you have a set now, what is the issue with them? I'd guess that the "stop" to limit upward travel is worn off. ? I have removed the springs (after removing the hood), then removed the hinges, welded-up the worn area and then reground it to shape.
If this is your issue as well, it's just another of those little things we get to have fun with. 🙂

Huh! I didn't even think about hood hinges. I was thinking door hinges. Not that I have any, but just goes to show how people think differently...... :cheer:

Duh.....My brain just went to Hood 'cause that's what I had to deal with. It never occurred to me that you were referring to door. My mistake.... My last, I hope.
How are your trunk and glove box hinges doing? We might as well cover them all.

thanks guys. it is the door hinges. I have one set I could rebuild, but I cut the other set to get the car a part. I would really like to have a new set.
