Forgive me if this topic has been discussed already but I did a search and did not come up with any discussion on preferences and/or resources for the best spark plug wires, cap, rotor, points, capacitor, etc. It would be helpful if there were a post explaining the preferred parts to get. I'm not even sure if the wires I have are resistance wires or not and what type of wires are best for 6V positive ground systems. I discovered that the ignition switch has a lot of resistance in it and by the time the voltage gets to the plugs it's a pretty weak spark. I also found that the rotor has a significant amount of play in it where you can pop the cap off and wiggle the rotor a few degrees one way or the other. What are you currently doing to remedy this? Adding a paper shim under the rotor to make it a more snug fit?
What part numbers and from where are you using for your cars?
Does it make a difference if you are turning up a 232 vs a 308?
Please let me know. I appreciate all the feedback I can get.
