Removed an Aluminum Head from a temporarily disabled 308 yesterday. Directly below the embossed lettering "Super Power Dome" there are two sets of codes --one set is embossed and the second is stamped on. Does anyone know what these codes represent? For instance can you decipher the year the head was made from the code(s)?

Embossed codes: XC 319 Alcoa 304632
Stamped code: M6A

I believe the "H-145 " appeared only on the '51s.

The Parts catalogue lists '51-'52 alloy heads as #304631, one digit different from the casting #. To confuse things, my '53 Hornet has a "Super Power dome" H145 head, and it is cast iron, # 305854. Explain that!
