I have the two front suspension coil springs in hand for my 1940 Traveler. I am requesting a manual instruction sheet on how to remove and reinstall the springs.

[ I did my 1976 Camaro springs in my garage some 20 years ago. How similar is the task? , I thought I was going to break a bone and do myself bodily harm, but didn't, hahaha]

God Bless,

Not sure on a 1940, but the Hudson mechanical procedures book for the 1942 tells the following: support the lower inside of the a frome, remove shock absorber, take off the lower inside bolts, lower the inside a frame enough to remove the spring, install new spring then re connect inside of a frame and replace shock absorber,
I need to do that with my '42, haven't tried it yet. However I am not familiar with the '40 so not sure if it is the same.
Good luck. get ahold of a mechanical procedures book for your car. Might be one on this site , or can google one maybe.
