Are there any detailed pictures how the factory radio mounts in a '35 ? . The shop manual shows a diagram and references brackets that are used to hold the radio to the steering column but I do not see what the brackets look like .
Thanks

Is this the manual you are referring to? http://hudsonterraplane.com/tech/1935/1935Hudson-TerraplaneZenithModel680Radio.pdf

Call Carl Weber for information as well as the HET listed Radio advisor.

ken,
I have the 1934 to 1939 Mechanical Procedure Manual and some service bulletins but have not seen the manual you referenced. I think it will be a big help getting the radio installed and working. I have a friend who was in radio and TV repair for many years who I hope can check the radio out for me. Thanks very much for the reply and manual. Hope to see you at Calvin's Christmas party.
Thanks again,
Bill

There’s a brace under the dash at the steering column. The radio electronics box mounts on top. Two studs in the radio chassis secure it to this brace. The separate speaker housing mounts to the inner firewall.

The antenna, at least on mine car (34 Terraplane) is the chicken wire in the soft roof panel

Todd,
Thanks for the reply. My 35 has the brace and looks as if the radio just bolts in place. My radio is missing the drive cables which I think I can make. It does not have the nuts ( which appear to be a pipe thread ) which tighten to hold the drive cables in place. If your radio has these, I would appreciate a picture of just the nuts to see what they look like. Are they just hex nuts, round ones, etc.
Thanks again
Bill

On 1935 cars the aerial was strung beneath the left hand running board.
