Are the drive axles the same on a 1942 Super Six, 1947 Commodore Six and a 1951 Pacemaker? Need to get a good differential for the '42, have the other
parts cars. Just want to know before I invest the time to take them out.
Thanks

Step-down shafts are shorter.

the 47 Commadore is the same as your 42 Super. the exception would be the 42 travelor has a smaller diameter axle than the 46/47 series cars.

Yes, and the 38-39 112 series, along with the 40-42 Deluxe Six with the 175 motor all used the 1-1/4" axle-shafts which used the 2581-T BEARING AND 2523 CONE, AND THE SMALL INNER SEAL, NOT National #5811. I have a few of the small 2581-T bearing cones and the 2523 races, ALONG WITH THE SMALL DIAMETER INNER SEALS. I ALSO HAVE THE 25877-T BIG BEARINGS AND 25820 / 25821 RACES IN STOCK.
