I have a 1941 coupe the car has been converted to 12 volt
I would like to use the original gauge but a new 12 volt sending
unit. Does anyone know what the Ohm reading reading is on the
gauge?

Thanks for the help
Errol

The sender and gauge are both bi-metal, not resistance units.

I cannot guarantee that it will, as the gauges are originally matched bi-metal units., From '51 onwards they changed to a voltage regulated bi-metal gauge and resistance sender unit. You may have to fit a voltage regulator, but I have no experience on this conversion. I do know that a resistance sender will not work accurately with a bi-metal gauge.

I converted my 46 to 12volt, I used the original gauge and sending unit. I bought a Runtz from Speedway motors and it works fine.
