I have a 1952 wasp with clutch chatter but it goes away after about 15 minutes of driving, I have added clutch oil from wildrik about 50 miles ago but it
still persists especially in reverse gear, is there a sup[plier for clutch plates or related parts that someone knows about?? thanks in advance Art Stein

The chatter is probably the fingers on the clutch pressure plate. A friend of mine had this issue and recognized that he hadn't verified the finger adjustments on a used pressure plate before he installed it. Wildrick or Ron Fellows will take your clutch and pressure plate in exchange for nice rebuilds.

Christopher,

If you can take the transmission off, you can inspect the ends of the 3 fingers for wear. If they are OK, you can adjust them yourself. The edge of the enclosure that keeps the clutch fluid in the clutch provides a reference to determine the position of each finger. The manual shows an arm and hammer (as on the baking soda box), which is sufficient if the fingers are not too far out of adjustment.

Per,

Thank you for the information, but I am not the one with the issue.I merely chimed in on the likely problem Arthur was experiencing.Good information to have though!

Chris
