I have just received the front seal, spacer and timing cover gasket from Wildrick rubber parts. The gasket is some type of rubber material and I don't know if any gasket sealer should be used and if so what type. Does anyone know what should be used? Step in here Doug if you are on.
Thanks,
Ed

Edward,

It is important not to use too much gasket sealer, because globs of it could plug things up. I prefer gasket shellac (Indian Head is a common brand). It comes in a small bottle with an applicator inside, attached to the cap. I find it easier to avoid putting too much using this as compared to squeezing silicone sealer out of a tube.

Per,
Thanks for the reply. I've used Indian Head before and I will follow your suggestion and avoid gobs of silicone.
