Mike, this is the reason I believe that all old cars with their original cloth wiring need to have new harness installed. No matter how nice the car is, that cloth cover is rotten and will cause major issues or burn the car down. I always install new wiring before running one down the road.

Kerry - I agree with you completely. There is no Hudson ever built that does not now require a new wiring harness. We just had a stepdown burn up from an under dash fire caused by shorted wiring.
