Looking for a early 1927 Connecting rod. On teardown, the dipper on #4 rod is broken off about halfway. Please let me know what you may have. Will be in Iowa in July for HET meet. Also, never got any information on steering wheel size or if anyone knows of a repairable original.

Dippers are repairable, either Essex or Hudson.

Could you send me in the direction of someone who could repair the connecting rod? That would be terrific! The engine had been "repaired" years before I bought the car and the piece of dipper was no longer in the pan. Thanks

Any competent welder should be able to repair this for you. The rods are forged steel. I have arc welded a dipper back on without melting the white metal.

If you can't find anyone to do it for you locally, post the cap to me and I will do it free of charge. email me at NZgeoffclark@xtra.co.nz but omit the front NZ that is to fool the spambots.
