I have just noticed this crack in the door pillar of my Pacemaker and there is a little bit on the other side also. Is this cracking a common issue?
The car has been back on the road for under a year now and I am very adverse to door slamming so this could be an issue raising its head from years ago. I was very surprised to see the cracking and it is now being remedied while it is in the panel and paint shop for other remedial work.
I am interested in others thoughts or experiences with this type of issue.

Hi, Of the five stepdown sedans I have owned over the last 50 years, 3 had the same crack. They also had cracked drivers
door window, from slamming due to mis adjusted door striker plates.
