Does anyone have suggestions for an after market power steering unit for a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker convertible?
Many thanks

Thank you
I forgot to mention the car was converted to 12 volts

I would be interested to know what power steering system you selected?
Also where did you get it from?
Many thanks

Robert,
I posted the Info on the Forum about a Yr ago but had no inquiries... If cant find Electric PS by a Search Pm your email then I can send you detailed instruction to follow if your at all mechanical inclined. Because its midnight, Short info is you can buy a Universal Kit from Summit or Jegs for around $1800, but you still need to install it, or have it installed, or do as I did for a few hundred. It involves cutting a section from your Steering Column & tube then install a small Mtr with Couplers rotated out of sight behind the dash then run a Pos & Grd. If Unit should quit it just reverts back to Manual Steering. Works Great and everyone that drives my '51 Stepdown is amazed at the ease.......

Thank you
I did go on line and find a unit from JEGS and Summit, even watched a video of the installation which was exactly what you described with your car.
I really appreciate your advice
