I have the 51 Hudson and have been studying the day lights our of the books. My father and older brother worked on a lot of Hudsons but not me. However, I helped a lot. When you are the helper and you are young you don't do the thinking part. What I am wanting to ask is the following. What tires are the best for the Hudson Hornet when running. Classic tires or modern tires? I know thy were 7.10 X 15 in the old style, and I have found a conversion chart to modern sizes but what is the best for the Hudson?
Bernie, I don't own a stepdown but my local chapter president Roger Talent has told me that you can put modern tires (radials) on a stepdown and they ride very nice. However I cant speak from experience. But I trust Roger.
