Hi,
who is familiar with restoring steering wheels, see pics.
Like to restore it to mint condition.

See my other new topic with restoring my 1951 hollywood hudson 2 dr coupe.

Thanks, Erik

Please clarify by what YOU mean by "restore" this steering wheel. Do you wish to have it wet sanded and clear coated so the tiny surface cracks are not noticeable, or do you want it re-cast in new plastic in the blue/ silver marble pattern? Gary Hayes has had his recast and the caster has a mold for your style of 1951-53 COMMODORE & HORNET 3 spoke steering wheel.

Ken, do you know if Gary has casts or molds for 49 commodores too? Or can you put me in touch with Gary?

Hello, there are two people that were casting the 48-49 Commodore wheels. Larry Kennedy in Indianapolis, and a gentleman in Sweden. I suggest you look up Larry Kennedy in the roster and contact him directly. The center pieces for the 48-49 Commodores are being offered by Gregg Eshelman in Idaho.
