Hudson fog lights install

I recently picked up a nice pair of Hudson fog lights - the type with the hollow stud/ball socket mounting and I believe they are mounted into a holes drilled into the fenders, just below the headlights. It's not a big deal to mount them and make them work, but it's always nice to install them the way the factory would have done. I have looked through several manuals and parts books but I have not found any details regarding their installation.
Does anyone have a template to show where the holes should be drilled? How about a photo of a factory light switch and where it mounts in the dashboard? Wiring? Anyone know where the power source is taken from? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks!

I know this doesn’t answer your question but thought I would share.
Not wanting to drill holes in the car I mounted mine on brackets I made up that utilise the bumper bolts. They are not wired up yet - just decoration at this stage.

That's not a bad idea! I could also fab up some brackets to mount them pretty much anywhere, I guess, using original screws or bolts. if I was to mount them as original, I would at least want the holes to be in the right places! (Ha, ha!) I think this was the way Hudson mounted them. (Obviously, this is not my car)
Thanks for the suggestion.

Mike, I picked up a set that should be mounted to the fenders under the headlight. They were still in the Hudson box and inside is a template for where to drill the hole. if interested, I can try and copy it for you or at least sent you the tutorial. Terry

Thanks for the help (again) Terry. If you ever come across another correct switch or a "Fog" switch ID tag, don't forget who your friends are! (ha, ha!)

I'm always scrounging around for stuff like that. I'll holler at you if I find something. I just bought 4 hubcaps for a '58 Cadillac at an estate sale, pristine condition, for 17.50 for all 4! I just listed them on the Caddy website. Terry

Ha, ha, that's a pretty good score! I'll tell you I paid a LOT more than that, for a set of caps for my 47 Cadillac! Thanks for keeping me in mind for the Hudson stuff. I'm currently looking for a good input shaft for my 1950 single lever trans if you know where there are any...….
