My commodore was last plated in 2014 . So it hasn’t been run for a while ,but turns over by hand nicely.
Do you guys find that there is a process that works well for these engines to bring them back to running without tearing them up ?

Ok I ..
Drained tank
Replaced fuel line , filter , eltriic fuel pump
Changed oil
New optima battery
New regulator
New coil
New plugs
Filled clutch fluid
Filled rear axle
Flushed and refilled radiator
Anything else you guys normally do ?
You didn't mention points, condenser, rotor, cap. Hopefully you had the gas tank cleaned and sealed, or you may be pulling rust up to the carb. Brakes - new wheel cylinders and new master cylinder.
Also plug wires.
this more of a start up list .
The brakes are being replaced from master all the way to wheel cylinders , whole system
Wires were unused in a box so just using those . Cap , rotor condenser also came as new spares in a box .
Tank I hadn’t decided if I was going reseal . No chunks or rust come out when I drained it
