Hi guys, sold my 54 Super Wasp to a friend of mine who is restoring it. As you can see in the picture, the transmission stick can't stay on the Park, He must use an attachment to hold it on the Park position. His mechanic would like to know if the problem is inside the transmission or in the steering box or ??? The restoration is going a good way since he began last December. I'm trying to help the best way I can but I know you will be far better than me to find an answer. Thanks to you all! Michel

It is, more than likely, just a linkage adjustment. On the Hudson library, there is a 54 Automatic repair manual... not the Hydro manual. Take a look and preform the linkage adjustment.

Thanks Lew, I think my friend's mechanic was able to repair it. Seems to work well now but will check in the online library to see for more adjustment tips. Thanks! Michel
