I removed my rear parking brake cables because it seemed that they were not working. There was nothing wrong with them other than being gummed up with old lubricant. Now that I have them out and cleaned up, can anyone suggest a good long lasting lubricant for these? I'm inclined to go with the dry silicon sprays, but then maybe the original lube was OK, (just old.)
Any ideas?

Penephite - it has graphite and will work down into the cable sheeth. I like to hang the cable up and spray down into it over a course of a couple of days.
Graphited Penetrating Oil!
Oils and solvents dissolve rust and grease, carry graphite into
infinitely small places for long lasting lubrication.
